Our Mission (The Real One)

Look, we started Aetherwynox because we were tired of seeing awesome tech startups struggle with accounting firms that just didn't get it.

You're building something incredible, and the last thing you need is an accountant who speaks in riddles or takes three weeks to respond to a simple question. We've worked with enough founders to know what keeps you up at night – cash flow projections that actually make sense, tax strategies that don't require a PhD to understand, and someone who can jump on a call without charging you for "consulting time" when you just have a quick question.

We're cloud-first because, honestly, who has time for paper anymore? Everything's real-time, everything's accessible, and you can check your numbers from wherever you're working today – whether that's your home office, a coffee shop, or that co-working space you're trying out.

How We Got Here

2019

The Beginning

Started in a tiny office above a bubble tea shop (the irony of being above a startup while serving startups wasn't lost on us). Just three of us, a dream, and way too much coffee.

2020

Going Digital

Well, COVID forced everyone online, but we were already there. Helped 30+ startups transition to cloud accounting when their old firms were still trying to figure out Zoom. Grew our team to 8.

2021

Specialized Focus

Decided to go all-in on tech startups. We were already doing it, so why not own it? Launched our CFO advisory service because founders kept asking "what should I actually DO with these numbers?"

2022

Scaling Up

Moved to our current spot on Yonge Street (no more bubble tea smells, sadly). Team hit 15 people. Started seeing clients through their Series A and B rounds – nothing beats that feeling.

2023

Recognition

Won "Best Tech Accounting Firm" from Toronto Startup Association. Honestly didn't know that was a thing, but we'll take it. Helped 12 clients successfully exit or get acquired.

2024

Expansion

Added audit services because clients kept asking for it. Brought on board some seriously talented people. Now managing over $200M in collective client revenue. Team's at 22 and counting.

2025

Today

Still grinding, still growing, still genuinely excited when a client hits their revenue goals. We've got plans to expand our advisory team and maybe finally get that espresso machine everyone keeps talking about.
